Hi

Anyone had experiences with the above? worth getting it done? Some people on old posts thinks its good, other say it clogs other parts of the engine etc.

Yep we use it Nik(well just started too)options vary re its effectiviness on older worn out engine it could well create issues for you later engine it should be OK(though we'd be reluctant to stick this stuff in a M3 for instance)

If your using this you add to the oil before drainage and run for 30-40 minutes then drain regular users of the product can drop the time down to around 20 minutes

There are other products for older engines such as oil fortifier for instance and re oil there's also the clean and protect 2 part package they do too, but for us its early stages as we've just taken them on, but we wouldn't of taken the option had they not been OK, my understanding of Forte product though is that they may be manufactured by Wynns (hear say don't take my word for it).

For me its 50/50 would I put some in mine.....

Interesting, I thought you only let it idle for 10 mins and then drain?

15% of oil left in after draining? Sorry that's tosh. For a 6-cyl Beemer that would mean nearly a litre left in the engine. If that were true, then adding the correct quantity of new oil would result in an overfill every time.

Stick to high quality fully synthetic oil, changed every 6-7K and you won't need this snake oil.

Tend to agree re Phil's comments changing oil regularly goes against the grain in terms if the modern BMW serving schedule but this is the only way in my eyes you can keep every engine wise in good serviceable condition we've taken these Forte products on and sure they are good... I've no doubt these products are good and fulfil a need normally for instance when we see cars that need these sort of items you've only got to see the service records to understand why.

Thing is a lot of the issues these products are designed to help can be largely eradicate with diligent servicing and general care. The BMW longlife service practice is going to ensure products like Forte will make a healthy living.

Im a Castrol Edge user who changes oil twice a year and am lucky to do 8500 miles per year.

Lol great cars,my point being maybe on an old car you may get some results.Would never put it near a modernish cars engine.
