I've been looking into doing this myself as well. Referencing the Bently service manual, I'm seeing that they say you need to remove the transmission completely, and there are a handful of "BMW special tools" that need to be used for various things. Is this really the case? I've only done a clutch project once in the past on my e30. It wasn't that bad and I juryrigged the entire process. Ended up working fine, but my 335xi is a different beast.
Could someone list out the various special tools they needed to use? I have a lift that I can use but I wouldn't be able to keep the car there overnight, so I'd have to get it done in one go at it "crossing fingers". Thanks for all the insight already! |
