I have used motul 300V for the last 30,000 miles. I did go a little long on one of my changes 6000 ( usually change it at 4000) and I have no issues. Great oil, but so is 8100.

I find that the car with 300 v warms up slower, lower gas mileage on the trip computer untill it warms up to 110 C.

Cools down faster. 1 hour parked in 27C drops oil temps to 70C-80C from 110C.

That sounds like a load of tripe. Not sure how this could possibly be true when we have street and race customers running for years with no seal degradation and thousands of miles of street use or multiple race weekends between oil changes. Oil analysis never indicates any issues with breakdown or contamination. I know Bob is respected on the web but that info is empirically incorrect.

Motul 300V Power 5W40 does not contain 100% ester, just maybe up to 25%. I am using this oil at my e93 M3, e92 335i and F10 M5 without any problem.

We rebuilt my n54 engine (in 64K in the clokc), The last 40K km was with Motul 300V 5W40. Absolutly clean engine, no any signs of unwanted things. Seals were just fine.

@ OP thanks for the heads up. Burning oil too fact is very important along with other thing. If possible after about 6k Miles send a sample to blackstone labs to see how the oil is doing in your car.
