Only 4mm between tire and strut tube?
With my new 255-40-17 race rubber all around on my E92, I'm left with a mere 4mm clearance between the tire sidewall and the strut tube in the front. Basically 5-6 credit cards.
Is 4mm too little clearance for track use? I'm thinking the sidewall may expand when I hit hard bumps or deflect during hard cornering. Thoughts? |

I think 4mm is enough room.

Put some painters tape or masking tape on the strut and drive it around for a bit. Then check it to see if theres any rubbing, if there isnt youre good to go.
