O ring replacement

Hi guys

Do you know where I can buy the o ring replacement part?

I have a small leak going on at the moment as you can see from the image.

I am hearing conflicting stories that it's just my O ring or it's my oil housing gasket.

Any tips would be appreciated

O ring comes with the oil filter, as far as I know not available seperately

The oil housing gaskets are around $50-60 for both, I have them in stock if you need it.

hey Stu, based on the picture, would you say I need to replace the oil housing gasket as well? I'll replace the O ring and see how it goes. I don't want to break my serpentine belt amongst all the other things that could go wrong.

I might need to make a booking to get a boost leak fixed too. (plus you guys have my drop in filter when I put a DCI on my car - not sure if you threw it out but I realised I didn't have it when I drove off)

I'm waiting on the oil filter housing gaskets from the USA at the moment.

My car is sitting in the driveway in pieces - yet I haven't needed to do anything with the serpentine belt. You can disassemble and re-install new gaskets without needing to remove the serpentine belt.

Getting the radiator fan out is a bitch face though.

Edit: As Stuart also mentioned, the large O ring that fits over the filter housing cap only comes with an oil filter kit. The BMW filters I got were only $11 ea from FCP Euro. You might as well get a new filter and chuck it in with the new O-ring at the same time. for $11 you can't lose.

I have exactly the same problem with oil pooling in the hollow on the right as you are facing the oil filter housing.

I was going to get the dealer to look at it as I thought it was the dreaded oil filter housing gasket issue.

Does any one know by looking at the OP's pic if that is an O-ring issue or the OFHG needs replacing?
