E90 "Pro"- Sound?
Hi folks! Im thinking of buying the E90 325i, and I have a few "amateur" questions regarding the soundsystems.
Im probably going for the bmw pro-sound system. Main reason is its cheaper than the logic-system(HIFI-upgrade doesnt seem to be worth the price). Does anyone have any experience from the pro-system? Is it enough if you dont really need the heaviest sound? Another question...if I would go for "pro"...is it possible to upgrade it to a better sound-system later on (for a reasonable price)? |

Yes upgradable
Hi there,
I have the professional system with 10 amplified speakers. The system itself is good.... very clear and decent bass. I do like extension in the low end so I am connecting an Infinity amplifier with an MTX subwoofer. It looks like it would be easy to replace the whole amplifier and the speakers as well, if you won't be satisfied with the custom speakers. I haven't seen the logic system but as far as I understood it has fiber-optic cables which would make almost impossible to add an aftermarket amplifier. |

i have the stock "pro" 10 speaker system.
I just added a 12" infinity kappa perfect and a infinity amp... sounds great.. The stock speakers have great highs and mids.. the bass is so-so.. but you can get a decent sub and amp for 6-700 bucks... Papa

I order the upgraded 'Pro' system ... called 'Hi-Fi Sound System' here in Ireland.
I was well worth the upgrade (800 Euro). The standard system is fairly miserable. Upgrading the Logic7 was 1600 Euro and I felt it was overkill for me (I like music but am not an audiophile) The Hi-Fi (Pro) system has very good quality well-rounded sound. Great for listening to iPod, CDs etc. Go for it! |
