Your user name is quite appropriate for that offer.

From what I understood Powertrain+ or what ever one below platinum is CPO in a sense. So a 335d with Platinum would be better than a CPO in the fact that platinum covers navi and electronics too. Cpo covers tran, engine and non wear components.

Powertrain+ just covers the power-train, Gold is the same as CPO and Platinum covers the advanced electronics like idrive. Apparently, now someone buying a CPO car can extend it to 7 yrs and include the advanced electronics for an extra fee of course.

Just bought our first 2011 335d last week that has only 22,000 miles on it but the 4/50 standard warranty runs out for us this October based on the time. I read the link that was posted in #6 and read that through because I really want to keep this thing under the manufacturer warranty for a good number of years to come. So, we added the 7/70 BMW ESC Platinum for a LOT less than the OP was quoted. We purchased ours through Jeff at Passport BMW as many others have and for good reason. Anyone truly looking for a great price should send him an email and get their offer quoted in any plan that BMW offers to fit their needs. His email is jeff.steel@passportauto.com and I am in no way affiliated.

I always hear good deals from Daniel Dutton @ Pacific BMW so you might want to try giving him a call and see what prices he's currently offering. I should be reaching out to him soon with a gold warranty in less than a year before I hit the big 5-0. My car's been a trooper so far and I hope it continues to in the long run.

BMW warranty cost increases
Any of you running out of factory coverage should consider a BMW ESC. BMW extended warranty cost's have increased by 32-38% in the last 3 years alone. Once you know you will keep your BMW past the 4yr/50k original factory coverage, make a move. I see that warranty cost increases are moving up faster than our IRA's. Last year April 10th was the cost increase, this year June 1st-July 15th is my dealers prediction.
