Hi guys, we have a 2005 BMW E90i. Indicator and warning sounds are all gone. BMW mentioned that we will need to replace the entire instrument cluster and has quoted us $2000 to do it.

I was wondering if there are any websites to buy the cluster from and get a BMW mechanic to install it? I am assuming should be able to save a fair bit. Thanks.

You might be able to pick up a used from one ebay or gumtree. Can't comment if its plug and play - but i would take a guess that it needs to be coded to the car so may not be that straight forward.

I also doubt BMW would be keen on using a part supplied by you - you might be better off using another mechanic. If you tell us what state you're in people should be able to recommend some good non-dealer alternatives who should be able to do it a bit cheaper.
