Replacing front bumper fog grills...

I've recently had my bumper resprayed, it looks lovely but my lower left and right grills look really faded / tired.

I know they can be removed easily with the bumper off as I've done this before, but having just removed and replaced the bumper I really can't be bothered to do it again, especially since I've got no off street parking.

So, anyone know of a way to remove and replace them with the bumper still on? I've had a go and can't get the clips to release. I think with enough force the clips would give, but reinstalling a new one from the front would be difficult.

It's a pre-LCI standard SE bumper.

With the wheel turned outwards you should be able to get enough clearance behind the arch liner to get yr hands in and unbolt the unit
