Hey everyone!

Excited to say that I just took delivery last night of my first 335d! Did my research on the car but am definitely still new to the diesel world! Its a 2010 with 39xxx miles!

Also just did my first work commute with it and managed 37mpg. Definitely a big surprise compared to my last car a 2006 Audi S4 which managed on a good day 20mpg.

Excited to learn more about the 335d from everyone here!

Anything important I need to know as a new owner?

I know the car is dirty, it was shipped to me and I didnt have time to wash it last night. And I am taking off the black front license plate holder. Ill get some better photos once its washed, took a few quick iphone photos before heading into work.

Congrats OP on your 335d purchase! The fuel economy / power and performance combo is what I love about the 335d. Enjoy it!

Start reading up on CBU, your car has low mileage so it may have not experienced it yet.

If you don't have warranty start reading up on these mods:

• Meth
• Oil Catch Can
• Tune and DPF Delete

Whats the biggest thing to watch out for maintenance wise?

Welcome to the club...drive her hard and don't let the forums scare you. Lots and lots of happy D owners out there. if you have a long commute then you'll be fine. Short little stop and go commutes aren't the best for this car with all the emissions equipment. If you're adventurous and want the motor to perform for a really long time, then you may want to learn more about EGR plates, DPF deletes etc... Oh and a water/meth setup is great too. Will go a long way at keeping the intake side clean. Anyway there are some smart cats on here so they'll shoot you straight.

Sounds good! I will definitely look more into those things! My commute isnt that long about 15 miles but I am mostly on the highway so very little stop and go.

That shouldn't be bad. Cold weather city stop and go is the worst.

At 110,000mi (175,000km), a little bit over half my miles are highway, but I don't baby the car and I have not hint of carbon build-up. My car was an early-09 production so I don't know if later models are more susceptible to carbon.
