I went and saw the car at the dealer. Very clean and in great condition from the outside.
The carfax shows 1 accident. A rear end collision with airbags deployed.
Since this was a lease return, the car was thoroughly inspected by the leaser before the car was returned. I was shown the inspection report the leaser had done and the 21 point inspection was fine.

How much does the accident/airbag deployment decrease the value of the car? Is there any way I can get access to the accident report (the dealer said he didn't have it)?

I'm no expert so someone correct me if I'm wrong but if the car bags deployed I'd considered that vehicle "total" yes?

The car does have a clean title. Not sure if it's the case here but I have heard of airbags deploying in even minor rear end collisions.

You can't get the report unless you know what city, where, time etc, and then pay to get the report from the DMV like the head hunter attorney folks do. There is no reason for the previous owner to give that to the dealer.

More 335i's than ever are getting off lease, just wait a little bit and find a good one. I would only buy an accident car if it was like $5,000 and I planned to make a project out of it.
