AUX/USB and Bluetooth help please
Hi guys i'm new to the forum and am getting confused with alot of these threads.
I have a iphone 4 for playing music and an iphone5s as my phone i have a 08 e92 and want to be able to listen to music which i thought u just used the Aux port in the arm rest. whats all this about a usb port in the arm rest???????? Also would it be better to install bluetooth for my phone or a bmw iphone cradle??? |

Welcome to the forum. This place is a wealth of info for all BMW, but especially the E90/91/92/93. Cars with the ipod package have a USB port in the console along with the aux input. This allows control of the ipod or in your case your iphone 4 from the radio.
If you don't have the factory bluetooth for your phone (you can try to pair the phone and car to see if you have it) for cars without this a good option is the Kinivo bluetooth unit. Gives bluetooth phone calls and music streaming, members here report excellent sound quality. Thanks for the response I've not got the USB port in the console it's just the AUX port. As for Bluetooth there is no button on the headunit so can't try pairing. There does appear to be a mic in the car. Will post a pic of mic when I get home
