Strange Vibration / Oil temp

I drive 2009 335i - 60K miles on it - turbos have less than 5K on them and I just recently within last 1000K miles replaced sparks and a couple coils.

Yesterday I noticed a random vibration in the steering wheel and pedals while idle. Not severe vibration but felt like a cell phone vibration when it rings.

Only felt when let of gas and idle between 800-500. Along with the vibration I noticed my temp gauge flirting with ~250, rose pretty quick and held steady. On normal driving condition, even when pushed pretty hard, the temp gauge flirts around the 230-240 mark. AC/Heater on/of did not make any difference nor did putting a load on or off the engine in park/drive/reverse. RPM needle never jumped but operated as it normally would in idle.

I pulled off to the side and engine did feel a little warmer than normal and very slight burning smell but nothing to turn my head about. Also want to note, acceleration was normal and full turbo boost.

Drove interstate all the way home, constantly testing the engine and the temp held strong at 250 and then all of a sudden it cooled off and returned to normal (230degrees) until I got home and it has not done that since.

I have zero clue what the heck happened or what could even cause such an event.

Any ideas??

Belt tensioner spring could be on the outs causing the vibrations but I'm not sure how this may relate to oil temps rising

1000k? Or 1000miles.
1000k=1,000,000

It's German, so anything is possible. HAHA

On a serious note just keep an eye on it. There's really nothing here to suggest where to even start looking since it's such a broad event.

Yeah it was weird and it hasn't happened since. That was the first occurrence and it was enough to cause me to pull off the side of the road.

Hopefully it was nothing.
