Some Info Required On E-90 Alloys

I am thinking of changing my alloys and tires on my 2010 E90 320D M Sport.

At present I have the following that came standard when the car was new (Code 193M).

Front Wheel 18 x 8J RFT 225 x 40 x 18
Rear Wheel 18 x 8.5J RFT 255 x 35 x 18

I went to a UK sellers website and it states the following wheels and tires will fit my car.

Front Wheel 19 x 8.5J Non RFT 235 x 35 x 19
Rear Wheel 19 x 9.5J Non RFT 265 x 30 x 19

What I need to know is

1. Will the 19" wheel and tire set up be ok on my car ?
2. Would it be possible to fit 275 tires to the rear instead of the 265 ?
3. If the 275 tires will be ok, would I have to also increase the size of the 235 front tires ?

Due to the fact these items will need to be sent overseas, I need to do my homework If I decide to go ahead and place an order.

These are the rims I was thinking about. There is not a lot of original style BMW wheels with the 8.5 & 9.5 width. If I purchase the 9" rears it appears I am limited to the tire width

Also I should have mentioned the off set

Present F 34
Present R 37

New F 34
New R 36

The wheel and tyre combination you've mentioned is a very popular aftermarket 19" set up on the E9x. They'll fit on your E90 no problem as will the 275's if you go that route. I used to run 10" rears with a 275/30 and never had any issues but I was on standard M Sport suspension. You can keep the 235's up front with the 275 rear too.

Thanks for the information given.

So just to confirm I am correct the following will be ok, and the wheels will bolt straight on with no issues.

Wheel 19 x 8.5 ET 34 can be fitted with either 235/245 x 35 x 19 tires
Wheel 19 x 9.5 ET 36 can be fitted with either 265/275 x 30 x 19 tires

Please can you let me know the following

1. Are we looking at 275 on the rears as a max width
2. At my location the roads are not the best, so I just wish to confirm I need to go with the 30 & 35 profile, and it will not be possible to go higher when using the 19" rims. I had a look and it appears they only make this wheel spec in 19" and there is no 18" listed.

In 320 I wouldn't go for wider than 235/265.

After checking on more info for 18" rims I found the following in a USA BMW website for the M3 Model. Is there any chance I could fit the following and reduce the front tire size to 245.

I have no info on the off set, but I would like to know if this may may a working plan.

18" Light Alloy Wheel V-Spoke Style 513 M with Mixed Performance Tires
Front: 18x9.0, 255/40 R18
Rear: 18x10.0, 275/40 R18
Style: 513 M

why do you check m3 fitment ?? Your car on oem 18" staggered wheels uses 225/40 and 255/35 but for those alpina replicas I would use 235/35/19 and 265/30 on rears.

I afraid that m3 513m alloys will rub with 245/275 tyres on your car.

Regarding your post you state the Alpina alloys are replicas. Would I be correct that they are making an incorrect item description ?

Alloy Wheels Direct state the following

Set of 4 Genuine Alpina alloy wheels
We DO NOT sell any replica alloy wheels

Just to let you know after checking with Alpina in Germany they informed me its as you mentioned 235 x 265 is the max they recommend for the car to be within their spec, and perhaps BMW.

It appears the 275 will fit fine on the 9.5J rims with no rubbing issues, but they remain mute on why not to fit them.
