Alloy wheel wax/sealant

Evening all, getting my 313s refurbished this week. Can anyone recommend a good wax or sealant to protect them from the crap on the roads and brake dust. Something reasonabley priced

Auto finesse mint rims is pretty good. Can't go wrong with gtechniq c2v3 as a sealant though.

poorboys and chemical guys do decent wheel sealants.

If its just to use over winter to protect your wheels from salt, then Autoglym do a spray on sealant that works really well. I used this for a few years on some polished lip split rims over winter, and it did the job excellently.

Doesn't leave a nice gleaming finish, but keeps the shit off and stops corrosion,

I applied the Gtechniq product when I bought my new wheels and several months down the line, they are never hard work to clean. The dirt just wipes off with a rinse and a wipe with a microfibre cloth. I'd recommend it.

Thanks Russ, I'll give the autoglym a go. It's on special offer in Halfrauds at the mo.

I have 2 sets of 313s on my cars, one original finish and kne set powder coated

Each do 1000 miles between cleaning, so have a massive amount of brake dust

Poorboys seals them so well that it comes off with just a hosepipe and some Bilberry cleaner made to 1/10 left on for a minute

I also wax them with HD wax before sealing, rightly or wrongly

I would recommend CarPro DLUX mate, u only need to do it once and it lasts for 18 months, brake dust flies off with just spray or if it has hardened a little shampoo and agitation

Other options that I could recommend are

- Jetseal 109, this is fab, u can seal ur car at the same time

- fk100p, this is cheap as chips and only costs £20 or so offers great protection for wheels

I've found eBay cheapest. Put poorboys on every so often and then gtechniq c2v3 every couple of months when I do the car.

Be careful with some ebay suppliers selling things like tardis or iron x as sometimes not is all as it seems. I've heard some stories of people sending out fake stuff. Best to stick to real shops like CYC, UF, PB, Elite etc.

I'm quite serious. I bought a puppy the other day, a staffy. Loads of the pictures showed the dog happily running around the garden. When I opened the box it came in it was a stuffed toy !!?? I won't make that mistake again.....

Surprised they're not giving it away, it's one of the worst products out there.

I'd recommend FK1000P. Easily protects for 6+ months and a tub will last ages.
