Failed AC control unit removal
I am sending in my radio unit to have the LCD screen fixed, but I can't get the AC control unit out of its slot even if my life depended on it. I have watched the videos, read the DIYs, have the right tool but I just can't get the sucker to pop out. I don't want to use too much force obviously as I don't want to damage anything.
I really need some help, as I am under a bit of a time crunch to get this done. Thanks! Last edited by M0.92; 03-11-2015 at 01:34 PM.. |

it just pops out. there's really nothing to it. not sure why you're having trouble. take a pic perhaps? maybe we can see where you're going wrong...

Not sure a picture would do any good as it just sits in the dash
After doing some further research it appears there are a couple if different versions of AC control unit, some are auto and some are not. The non auto are quite easy to remove, the autos are a real b!tch. Mine's a b!tch. |

first time you pull it out, its tight, gets easer = make sure you are hooking around the lip but not in the very center (vertically) on the edge as there is nothing to hook onto there.
