AZ Bimmer Motor Werks did my VTT2+'s. Ask for Nick. Tell him Chris sent you -they put 2+'s on my car a few months ago. They did a good job. You may as well get the intakes installed while you're there.

I used them a couple times for my injectors and water pump. Nick was a nice guy. If you don't mind me asking what was the damage on the install? Intakes?? What do you think of the turbos? |

I don't remember off the top of my head. I know they gave me a decent rate because it was their first. They had a few issues to work through and considered it a learning experience. I supplied them with everything -gaskets, etc. I ended up cracking a turbo inlet tube so had to get another one of those (the new silicone VTT's weren't out yet) and I think the total was maybe $1500 or so? I had them do a few other things though, like new vac lines, etc.
I did the VTT silicone inlets recently. They were a pita to put on for the shop too, again, their first. They could probably do it faster next time. They charged me 4 hours I think. Might have been 5. The turbos are tremendous. I got the 19t/unclipped... spool is fantastic and they make a lot of power. I'm very pleased... about 5000 miles on them so far.

I did the waterpump/thermostat at the same time. It's right there if they're changing the turbos. Obviously change out your vac lines -get some good stuff. I had them look and see if my valve stem seals were leaking -good to know now if they are. N54's are pretty robust like that so you're probably (hopefully) okay. I also changed my motor mounts to new OEM. You'll need engine oil, filter, the turbo gasket kit (Tony sells a nice one cheap), coolant, etc. That should get them in the general ball part of most of the parts required.
I did some other things but they were when I had them do the clutch/flywheel. A couple bushings/check seals/etc. I'm going to have to do some suspension maintenance and get an LSD next. The power is awesome.

I had mine done at AZ Bimmerwerks. I think Nick charged me a little over 400 verses BMW wanting a little under a grand.

Sounds about right. I have the BMW tools and some harbor freight BS that if you want to borrow and do yourself, you're welcome to. You'll need your own compressor. For $400 I'd just pay someone else to do it, lol.
