Powder coat or buy new
So I would like to get a a set of summer tires to replace the stock run flats. I am also going with a gloss black theme to highlight the Lemans blue. My car currently has the 19 inch style 230's on it which are nice but I don't want to have these color rims. I am torn between powder coating them gloss black or just buying the VMR 710s in gloss black. I know that this is my car and ultimately my decision but I would like to get some others opinions.
Here is a somewhat recent picture of my car Here is how it should look in gloss black Here are the VMR 710s in gloss black

I love the blue, but personally, those rims are really weird. You need a very specific shape to compliment the body of the e92. I have Apex ARC-8s on my e90 sedan and I think they're gorgeous, but it's your car man.

I'm sure wherever you get your OEM wheels powdercoated will hold up better than the VMRs.
I love my VMRs but they chip all the time, if I had the time/money to ship them back I would. Search for chipped/flaking VMRs and you will see it is a common problem.

Black rims done work on blue cars. Just saying. Go silver, chrome, red, orange, white, etc first. VMR is better than those. Depends on if you want to spend the extra coin. Chrome would highlight/compliment the blue most. Black gets lost.

Buy new wheels.
Apex makes some nice wheels in 19".
