I separated the knob from the boot in order to use it with the stock boot, so you would be buying the knob only but I will include the boot it came with if you want.

just a quick question..How did you remove the knob from the boot..I just purchased one and dont plan to install the boot..thanks

there is a white, circular/oval plastic piece underneath the knob holding the leather boot in place. you can either pull that off, or just yank really hard.

Is the M-tech boot any different from the stock boot?

it is, but not to the point of mattering.

its a slightly different leather if you look at it really close, and it has 4 seams (one comming from each corner) instead of the two seams (comming from the front two corners) that the stock boot has.

you wouldnt even be able to tell it was a different boot unless someone pointed it out to you. The main difference is that it was originally connected to the knob.

the OEM boot is slightly smaller at the top than the one that comes with the shifter. i just got the knob only, and it hangs over a bit in the back.
