Question M3 Conversion

long story short...

i crashed my 335i and damaged the front ( bumper, hood, left and right front fender)

since i need to replace all these parts with new ones, i am considering to replace all of them (except the hood) with the M3 parts..

i've got 2 questions for u..

1- will it fit ?

2- will it look good?

thx in advance.

btw , i borrowed the images from a post here... except the last two... sadly, that is mine..

If you're replacing the bumper, I'd definitely get the M hood as well.
Although I don't know how you'll managing getting these parts in the States, since the M3 hasn't been released yet.

My concern would be how the fenders line up with the stock 335i side skirt, since the M3 has much more flare to it.
Mounting points should all be the same though.

1- will it fit ? - Most likely will fit. Although keep in mind there's more to retro-fitting this than just bolting on new panels. Other parts such as splash guards, bumper supports, etc will all need to be replaced.

2- will it look good? - in my opinion, probably not. It'll look like a half M3 half 335 combo. You can get flared rear fenders, get a new rear bumper and a new trunk lid. Even with that you'll get plenty of comments about being a "poser" because you'll still have 335 engine/mechanicals.

My suggestion is to go with stock M-Tech kit (front/rear/sides) and a Vorsteiner hood (if you want something more aggressive). Oh, and finish it off with the new Duke Dynamics CSL trunk lid. Will definitely look more unique and aggressive.

BMW may not allow a US dealer to order the parts from Europe.

Tmoney also makes a good point.
I agree it'd look a bit odd with the flared front fenders, and the narrow rear. Get the M-tech or DD front and the Vorsteiner hood.
