So I finally installed my by cable from my jb4 thru the firewall and out the glovebox. Now my problem is I can't get the jb4 to connect to the laptop.

I have a MacBook Pro that's bootcamped to run windows. In my Device Manager I can't even find the com port that the jb4 is using.

I feel like there's something really obvious that I'm missing. Any help would be appreciated!

If you can't figure it out using the instructions from their site. You can try trying 1 and working your way up. You would hit it eventually. Might take longer

Ignition should be on, and plug in the USB cable before opening the interface. You should be able to check the COM port if those two things are correct.

Does your computer have the driver for the cable installed?

I eventually got it to work. I had the driver installer but apparently windows needed to do its own driver update in order for it to work
