I only tested the halos, they came witha module i hooked up to the wall very easily with a DC connector. But testing the whole thing wouldnt be hard, just figure out which wires need ground and power, most of the other wires are involved in the moving and automatic stuff.

Not everybody has an extra set to practice on.

If you aren't DIY inclined and do not have a good heat gun, I would just pay somebody to do this for you.

I'm almost done with mine but only because I typically just get 2-3 hours a night to work on them and at that rate it could take a week+.

I had too. Bought mine car used and the previous owner had installed higher output bulbs that burnt through the clear lenses. So I bought used head lights with good clear lenses but broken housings. Took both sets apart and swap the lenses out. Not very difficult but true I'm big do it yourself person.
