I just want to keep the JB4 in the mix for meth control and have the Bluetooth JB4 connect for all the benefits there.

who else is thinking the same thing?
There's a firmware Terry made that can use the JB4 for just the features you are mentioning so you can use a custom flash tune as well. Check over on his site.
Cheers ill check that out

How much are one of these wedge maps? About to buy MHD tonight and I don't know if I should get the basic stage 1 map from MHD or see if there's a better option out there.

if your FBO and have access to e85 definitely get a custom tune by wedge ....well worth it!

So I've been searching and searching to find an answer, but I can't find anyone with the exact answer I'm after.

I'm currently stock with just a DCI. If flashing with MHD, I'd utilize Stage 1 flash. However, if I want to run, say.... E30-40, will the Stage 1 map support that? I have the intention of going FBO by the end of the year, but I would like to go ahead an flash using MHD, but I also want to run ethanol.

Thanks for helping the N54 newbbbb.

I only have in intercooler and DCI upgrade, everything else is stock. I have running the MHD E40 flash and it is amazing!!!! I went to the track just to see what number I would get and I ran a 12.2 @ 115. That's typically what the FBO's with JB4 and some E85 pull. So just get yourself an intercoolrer (easy to install) and give it a try.

You can try it without an intercooler upgrade, but you would have to be careful since it would be easy to heat soak.

Yeah, the heat is what worries me. I wonder if the Stage 1 tune would have a negative reaction with the e85? Maybe I should just shoot a message over to Wedge and see what they say.

For CA cars, I would recommend 2 to 3 gal of E85 per tank to bring octane up and fix any timing issues you are having. I wouldn't go more than that as it will cause issues with your trims. If you plan to do this, I would reset you fueling adaptations to speed up the process and help prevent your trims from max'ing out with the increase of Ethanol.

Would I be resetting the adaptation pre-flash or post-flash? or does it matter either way? Once I get a FMIC and DP, I'll be contacting you guys Just need some power to get me by until then.

BurQ/Wedge are legit...Their tunes are game changers. I live in FL where it's hot and humid...performance is still unreal. Their Customer Service is top notch and their tunes are way above expectations. Ongoing communication and support are great.

Advice and recommendations go way beyond what's expected...couldn't get much better than I ever expected.

Post... When I switch between fuel, I'll run the current flash until the trims start to change and then stop and flash. Then reset after the flash.

I had a bit of a scary moment last night.

Got over to my local E85/Shell station and filled up with 3 Gal. of E85/91 Mix. Pulled to the other side of the parking lot to flash Stage 1. (I had already done the initial install at home, connected to a battery tender) As I begin the flash, I make it to about 13%. BAM. Error. Car won't start. I attempted to reflash multiple times. Restarted my phone. Checked the cable connection. Nothing.

After 10 minutes of troubleshooting, I finally got it to flash back to stock. Once I got back home, I attempted to flash Stage 1 once more. This time it worked flawlessly. I'll try and grab some logs in the coming days and post them up for analysis, as I don't know what exactly I'm looking for.

I haven't had too much drive time on the tune yet, but in the short drives I have had, I've noticed quite the difference. To make a long story short, I may need new rear tires a little earlier than planned!
