The X6 doesn't look to have 3rd row seating - more of a crossover. The FX is a fun ride but has the same passenger load issues (2 rows).

When you 'need' 3rd row seating, there aren't many sport like SUV vehicles in the 55k range. Oh well...I still have my little 3 series.

I'd still take the X5 4.8.
But I like strawberry!

X5 or X6, you're looking at a very expensive SUV. If it wasnt so ridiculously high, it would be a no brainer for me. I love how the X6 looks.

Yes, this information on the V8 TT was released many months ago and BMW at that point stated it would be in the 400 hp range.

That X6 is damn ugly. Looks like a pregnant 3 series sedan. I rather have the Infiniti FX.

Not a huge fan of the looks but with a turbo V8, it will be hard to pass up. Can't wait to get my hands on one.

Looks good coming. Looks good going. It's the side view that makes me want to toss my cookies. Maybe bigger wheels would help.

Info for US guys: BMW released the Eu prices of the X6.

The lineup includes also two 3.0 l diesel engines in Europe (235 and 286 hp).

Prices are only 4000 US $ higher than the X5 corresponding versions and they account for increased standard equipment like DPC, paddle shifters etc. The price difference is therefore smaller than expected.

Check out that motor, with twin water-air intercoolers hanging out in front of the cam covers:
