Can anyone identify my exhaust?

I can't tell what it is but it's loud. Way too loud. What are my options? Can a muffler shop modify this thing to make it quieter? I'm going to be getting catless downpipes and was not planning on getting an aftermarket exhaust because of how loud it will be. Could a muffler shop weld resonators on there to make it more restrictive?

Thanks!

Does it say AE on the exhaust tips?

Throw on some stock mufflers, they can be had for about $150-200 or so in the FS section.

Looks like the M2 exhaust you can get on eBay but I'm not sure.

One thing for sure if you go catless it'll be a lot louder than it is now...

Good luck!

Nothing on the tips or the mufflers.

Will it still be loud if I get a shop to put the stock mufflers on this exhaust? Thank you! It does look like the M2 after looking it up.

You can look up exhaust videos to verify.

Stock mufflers will quiet it down definitely. The only other change is piping and that's not a huge difference, most of it is in the muffler.

Do you think I should ask a muffler shop to add a resonator (I think that's what it's called) about mid-way on the piping as well to quiet it down further?

Thanks!

One thing at a time. Stock mufflers, see how it is. If you like it, good. If not, resonators. Just have to find what suits your ears. That's what I'm doing.

I'll sell you my stock muffler if you'd like.

Do you think if I quiet it down a bit it will still retain some of it's free flowing properties? Good idea above.

It probably won't retain as much, but it's not a huge trade off. The M2 system isn't the best anyway. Good budget system but nothing like an name brand one.
