Both O2 sensor and low pressure fuel sensor at the same time?
I posted this in the general section when I should of posted here. Sorry for the double post.
My completely stock 2008 335 e93 has almost 45,000 miles and this is the first time I've gotten the SES light. The car seems to run fine but I do want to understand what is going on. I bought a code reader that spits out BMW specific codes. They are: 29F3. Fuel low pressure sensor, electric; And a bunch all dealing with the O2 sensor before catalytic converter 2: 2C3E. O2 sensor before CC2, line fault; 2C9D. O2 sensor heating before CC2, activation; 2C3A. O2 sensor before CC2, dynamics; 2CAB. O2 sensor 2 before CC, temperature; 2CA7. O2 heating before CC2, function. The second group all seems to be dealing with the O2 sensor or heater for the sensor. After finding posts on the low pressure fuel sensor I see that it is a fairly common failure. However, it seems odd that both a pressure sensor and an oxygen sensor would go at the same time or are the errors related? Maybe the pressure sensor error does not normally trip the SES light and it was there for a while and I only found it because of the O2 sensor errors tripping the SES which caused me to scan for codes? I can't get a service appointment for another 1.5 weeks. The car seems to run fine (I would not know there is anything wrong with the car except for the SES light). Can I drive it until my service appt or do I risk hurting something? |

I would suggest clearing the codes, then see what comes back.
If 29f3 comes up again, start with replacing low pressure sensor. It's a quick 45min job.
