Intercooler sprayer kit
(Mods please move to correct section, sorry)
Hey guys. I havn't ever seen this done on this platform as most people go Meth. Im trying to avoid meth at all costs, i like to go against the grain sometimes lol. So in the GTR world intercooler spray kits were common practice. Wondering why people have not adopted this idea as its much needed with our high IAT's and hot running cars. Here's a cheap kit as an example, or you can go a NX style sprayer with bottle. Another way is to hook up your wiper washer bottle line and run it to the intercooler and set up a few spray nozzles, very effective and cheap as chips! https://www.designengineering.com/ca...er-sprayer-kit https://www.vividracing.com/catalog/...tle-p-717.html

Nice! Did you run a toggle switch on/off switch, or did you just press down on the wiper washer button? And did you run a few cheap sprayers, or a proper piped setup?

Gotta get myself a garden spray pump lol, the results are decent even with a poor setup and just using water

I set myself up one with the skyline's fmic ages ago with the following:-
1. Junkyard spec windscreen water bottle with pump 2. Junkyard spec spray nozzle 3. Variable 555 timer with spare relay from hid kit + in car switch. Whole setup cost me less than $20. The 555 timer allowed me to set the pulse duration and intervals for the spray and how often it activates. Worked a treat. I used some ibuttons to measure temps before and after the intercooler with and without the spray kit on. It really did help significantly, esp with heatsoak during day to day driving. Only downfall was the water tank i had was too small, having to fill it up too often. |
