Front wheel drive is considered better than rwd because the "weight" of the engine is over the wheels doing the steering. If the front wheels slip, the car will usually stay in line. With rear wheel drive, the pushing rear wheels slip and the back end of the car starts to swing.

Hmmm, I think the best FWD would be a Z4.... driving backwards.

no car is best for the snow cause u need chain on the tire to move . otherwise, you will slip and get in car accident

thinner tyres? Are you kidding me?
The bigger tyres the better, big ol winter tyres, 4" thick (diameter wise) are the best. My Civic was a snow champ!
