Map 5: Autotuning. Adjusts boost curve from 11psi peak to 16psi peak based on octane, mods, climate, etc. For those running E85 fuels up to a 40% mix can be used along with the flex fuel add on connector.

I have seen Map 5 target 18.2 once but more consistently mid to high 17's. I don't know if Terry made any changes since that map guide was made.
If map 5 peaks at 16 psi . If i add e85 how can i hit 18 psi on map 5 ?

It is recommend that you use 93 but a lot of guys states don't have access to 93 and use 91 instead. I would suggest you log regularly though

But hey mike if i run map 2 with 94 octane and dp and get 14.5 psi. If i run map 5 and run e85 i will peak at 16 psi like the map guide says ??? How can people get 18 psi with e85 if map 5 peaks at 16 ??

Good question. I run 91 octane and 4 gal e85 and in map 5 get 17.6 boost. So much for published peak levels right. And then sometimes I can't get over 13 psi boost with exactly the same conditions. Car actually feels the same either way.

Map 5 does not have set boost targets. It will change depending on lots of factors including IAT, mods, fuel,etc...

Same car , same mods might have different boost target within the same day because IAT might be higher in one pull

You will need to log your pulls so we can tell you exactly why 1 pull had higher targets than the other
