Hold a knife while holding a fork? Is this like the equivalent of walking and chewing gum at the same time?? Sounds complex...
Define "poor man's trip"?? I had a vision of camping, eating canned beans by the campfire and no running water... Sounds like I'm headed to Kirkland? |

Ive traveled all around the world without ever planning anything. I have camping gear in the trunk and the money to stay in 5 star hotels. I just see what suits the night. To truly appreciate anything you need to see the place with the eyes of a local. To learn more you need to be open. I've spent a lot of time hating USA, but my road trips here have proven me the image shown to the world is twisted. It is a thing of beauty to let go of your prejudices. Rome seen my way is not the Rome shown to a normal tourist. A gas station here is not one either.

Peter II would not enjoy the roads in Rome... Just saying...
And the images shown to the world; are we talking about the images shown courtesy of Fox News?? Because that's pretty awful and borderline tabloid news, lol... Quote:

hmmm, Amazon HQ. That's not far from the downtown core. South lake Union area. Could probably take a bus from the water front, so the Bainbridge wouldn't be too crazy. Worth a look.
Other areas: Sand Point, Wedgwood (could ride a bike or bus), Fremont/Wallingford, Greenwood as someone suggested earlier. Ballard is nice, but takes forever to get to/out of. Same goes for the Magnolia area. |

Man oh man, do I love Seattle. I usually stay in Bellevue and just commute into the city for meetings. Was there two weeks ago, didn't rent a car and just took Uber everywhere. Worked great!
