because when i was there i went outside to take some pictures and went inside again.
went to the parking lot and back in the shop...
I think there's a lot of fault countings...

Entirely possible. IIRC the people who were given a Mercedes Benz at Oprah's show ended up having to pay several thousand dollars in tax on it or give up the car. So a "long term loaner vehicle" for free may have been the much better way to ensure goodwill. Plus, it's entirely likely that with a year of free X1 use, if they don't already own a BMW they may sell their other car and buy one if they get used to it / like it a lot.

Dude, they make a gazillion cars a year. They can't give up one? Having another car is a liability to many folks, too. It's not always beneficial.
