before i buy a new diversity amplifier........
hi all still having problems with my central locking. finally got the rear glass to open so i can get to the diversity antenna amplifier, that was a new micro switch.
cannot find a used amp anywhere so before i go direct to bmw who i suspect wont let me fit a new one to see if that does cure the problem rather than having to buy one then risk having it and it not making a difference. im going to cut the wire harness tubing in the tailgate to see if there are any broken wires. i cant remove them enough to inspect all of them properly anyway. has anyone tried this approach themselves? was just wondering if one side was more susceptible to breaking than the other? the right hand side under the glass has two tubes but there others including the actual tailgate are just single. |

I'm in the same boat, but don't want to start messing with he wires as could get expensive if I do something wrong
How much would you be looking at? Are they for the E91? Thanks |

Hi guys, I'm after a diversity Amplifier for an E91. Partnumber 65209193841.
Anyone got a spare they'd part with? I'm based in South Wales but commute the M4, but would pay postage etc. |

just quickly...i didnt actually need the diversity amplifier in the end. I cut through the rubber tubing on the right hand side when the boot is open and there was two broken wires. Crimped them together and hey presto all working perfect again! So unless you are sure you def need the amplifier and have checked the wires, check them! it cost me 20p and a pint for my mate who crimped them back together.

Is there a way of checking the wires without cutting through the rubber as don't want to start doing this.
How did you re-seal the rubber after cutting? Thanks John |
