Ive been hunting a new car for months with no luck, want a 330/335d lci in black/white/blue.

Must haves where xenons, heated leather and pro nav.

Now theres a car just popped up but it has not got the xenons, ive been trying to find out prices for buying all the bits i need but theres next to nothing on ebay and main dealers want silly money.

The wifes telling me im being too fussy but whats the point in upgrading if it doesnt have what my car is missing.

Can anyone tell me where i might be able to find a set?

They sometimes crop up here, or as you say eBay probably would be more chance. It's quite a job to do it right mind auto levellers and headlight washers if you want to do it right, but worth the end result I think. I do have a BMW pdf guide if you decide to go for it.

From what I can work out you'll end up spending nearly £1000 to get it done properly. Headlights are going for about £500, then sensors, looms, coding etc.

Ideally i really need to find a car with them on, as the few cars that have got the spec i want bar xenons are at the top of my budget, this then taking it way over budget and not even making the car worth more just more sellable when that time cones round.

Stil cant believe a 30k+ car like a 330d does not come standard with xenons.

The father in law has just bought a loaded f31 a year old, electric boot, memory seats, pro nav + media pack, folding mirrors etc, but has halogen lights, really lets the car down.

Yet you can buy a hyandai for 15k fully loaded with xenons, surely a car worth double that should come standard with them, yet so many dont

Xenon now are a cheap upgrade on all BMWs. Everyone is now moving to LED headlights which are much better. I also didn't want to compromise when I got my car and xenon were one of the options. I didn't want adaptive units and there are plenty of them around.
What is the car you found? I was under the impression the market is flooded with 330d not like the 335i E90/91.

I wish the market was flooded, theres 2 330d for sale on autotrader within my budget and neither have xenons
My search is as follows
2009+
70k miles max
Auto
Pro nav
Heated leather
Budget of about 14k

Theres no used units for sale, cheapest i can see is £377+ postage, then £100 for the ballasts, £150 for bulbs + wires and coding, looking at well over 1k meaning im then looking to spend no more than 13k on a car

Best to try and find one with them fitted.

Unfortunately, finding a fully loaded one is as rare as rocking horse shit and when they do pop up, they sell like hot cakes.

Do you really need a diesel? There are some nice 6cylinder petrol out there. They are cheaper.

Its a shame they dont do a 2 litre petrol turbo lump, well they do now but i cant quite afford a f30 328i.

I would get a 335i but the wife drives it more than me and they seem to be off the road as much as they are on, also the added fuel/insurance and tax

I do only do 8-10k miles a year, but my 320d costs me £20 a week in juice and £12 a month tax, it will be triple that in a petrol, also i dont know if they will insure my wife on the petrol, they wouldnt touch her on a golf gti
