Thrust upgrade is included with every single turbo we will sell at no additional charge, forgot to mention that, which makes it an even better value.

So if its a daily driver. But with full bolt ons and jb4. I just like to drive like an ass every now and then. Should i get oem? Or hexon stage 1/vargas stage 1. I mainly want a tad bit more power/the ability to have more power. With reliability and NO MORE RATTLE.

Do you want upgraded turbos, i.e. more power? If so, I would go with Hexon. Steer clear of VTT or RB, or else you might be pulling them out again in no time.

If you aren't looking for more power, go with OEM. They are FAR more reliable than any aftermarket turbos out there.

Just saw something on vargas. What about the vargas oem option? Its all oem except the arm. Cost less. And will keep it from rattling. Anyone got these?

His OEM turbos are just rebuilt cores that people send back. Sounds like he just changes the wearable parts (seals, bearings, etc) and does the wastegate upgrade. Probably safer than going with his hybrid turbos, but I would avoid VTT completely. The way he conducts himself is laughable, not to mention, if they do fail, he'll probably just end up blaming something else on your car.

Again, if you want longevity, go OEM.

I remember reading somewhere that the latest version of oem turbos direct from bmw have been revised to fix the rattle issue.

Say What!?...I'm just going OEM then, when mine die or start rattling. 400whp is quite enough for me. Funny how everyone used to complain how unreliable OEMs were untill VTT/RB showed up and started having bigger issues

I'm going with Hexon 600 at the beginning of the year. I've had two different sets of VTT stage 2s to give out twice witin two years. I'm smoking it up again smh. Hexon is the best option it seems for me they're cheaper and their warranty is unbeatable other competitors can't compete.

The N54 Turbos in every model from the 2007 335i to the last 335is/Z4-35is & 1M use the same style turbos with no "fix" from redesign.

The Turbo used on N55s doesn't have any issues, but that's a twin scroll.

If only we could take 2 of them and use them on the N54, but that would require a lot of work for no amazing results.

I don't have the source to where I read this but BMW simply revised the turbos slightly to work better the the software fix (29.2?). The software made it so when you start the car up, the rear wastegate is not closed anymore. It is open. Therefore, there is nothing to rattle against any seal.
The Actuator Rod was changed in the revision, but still loosens over time causing the length of the road to be increased. This changes the seal for the wastegates & eventually becomes little to no pressure against the seal, then the wastegate rattles against the seal, causing the ticking sound.

The turbos still have the same part number from the 1M+Z4-35is+335is as the 135i & 335i (also maybe the 740i idk).

When my E90's turbos were replaced (before I had the car) they also gave it the turbo fix. When I bought the car, it was in stock condition & had all up to date parts, yet the turbos still rattled. After I modified it the rattling got worse & I had the software reverted. Not very long after, I had the turbos replaced again. They told me that without the software I'd continue to have this issue and I was about to pass my BMW Extended Warranty for the issue.

That car was a total loss in a flood not much later. My new E92 is on it's 3rd set of turbos, 3rd HPFP, 2nd set of new injectors, & is at 80k miles.
I'm probably going to modify a set of OEM turbos with
Titainium bush through the turbo body, actuator rod to wastegate arm bush, and Wastegate valve, all of better quality. The upgraded turbos look great, but I'll be fine with inlets and stockers.
