Air Scoops

If I mount the front air scoops with the factory air duct, will I have to be concerned about rain/snow. I have searched but get mixed answers. If you have them installed do they suck in the elements?

Nope, i be had Cyba ones on for over a year, they have a slit in them for any water to just fall out from. Even if they didn't, I highly doubt any water would make its way all the way through the tract and onto my cone.

Edit: may be worse if you use the stock airbox

Garage List
I definitely find more sand/debris in my air box with the scoops.

I would say just clean out box more often....as they will scoop up more debris no doubt.

Cybas don't seem to hold water, but they do blow debris into the bay

They do hold snow though which is an issue.

Water/snow will likely not travel very far inside but dirt and other road debris certainly will. My engine bay is always dirty because of it.

had the cyba ones for over three year no issues.
you cannot hydrolock your engine like u could with cold air intakes that are two inches off the ground, good , decent ram air mod. IMO.

That's why I like Mr. 5's intake mod. If the lower filter faced resistance from water, it would just take it in from the top.
