2007 335i eating oil?
Changed my oil 300 miles ago and oil sensor is already down to 3/4. Is this normal for my car to go through this much oil at 95,000 miles? No oil visable on engine bay. Valve cover recently changed as well. I feel like the car goes through a lot of oil.

That's a lot of oil to be going through. You don't smell it, or see it on the ground? Mine wasn't even going through that much, just a quart after about ~3 months, some drops on the ground....and I had 4 oil leaks, Oil Filter Housing Gasket, Valve Cover Gasket, Oil Pan, and now the Turbos supposedly. I've fixed the OFHG and VCG and am seeing how bad the leaks are.

have you replaced the Blow By hose. It seem to have help me when my car was burning oil, although not as bad as what you are seeing.

If the visual sensor is down to 3/4, that means you are ~1/4 of a quart low. DO NOTHING until the sensor requests you to add a quart. That visual graph is not like the mechanical dipstick that is showing the full depth of the oil pan. It is only showing you the drop until you need to add 1 quart. Am I mis-reading your post? You say you feel like you go through a lot of oil. If you are changing the oil at some mileage interval (5K, 10K, 15K) how many quarts does the system request you add before you reach the mileage interval?

If it continues to consume oil, like another 1/4 quart in another 300 miles, you probably have either a small leak or a small consumption issue. Burning 1/2 quart to 1 quart every 1000 miles is more than I would like either.
I don't trust the sensor 100% and sometimes I think any variation the sensor reports is just the sensor and not the true amount of oil in the system. At least you have a system that warns you when the engine is 1 quart low.
