Projector Foglight Retrofit E90 LCI
I completed a projector retrofit for my E90 LCI fog lights. I was very inspired by this thread, thanks Rasp!. The blazer projectors are somewhat harder to come by and I preferred a mini H1 projector anyway so I picked these up from AliExpress for about $50 CAD.
Baked the headlights at 225 degrees for about 15-20 mins. Slipped a flat head between the seam and pried. They came apart very easily. I removed the reflector and bored the bulb hole with a dremel in order to fit the projector. I remounted the fog housings then placed the projectors inside and once I was happy with the aiming I set them in place with screws. Lots of JB Weld was applied afterwards to permanently secure the projector. The result was better than I expected for a total of about $120 CAD including projectors, bulbs and ballasts. *The low beams and fogs are DDM tuning 5500K ultra HID, stay far away from that garbage... Will be switching them out for Yeaky H1 and Osram CBI. I'll take some night output pictures this evening!
