Dinan Warranty question
My buddy has a company car and is considering the Dinan Flash for various reasons...
Question is if the coils, spark plugs or Fuel Pump go bad, will it be covered? Dinan might say it's BMW's problem since stock cars have these items go bad. BMW may say the Flash is the cause and therefore not cover these miscellaneous items. BMW have every right to blame Dinan since it does cause extra load/wear on the drivetrain components and the drivetrain is already VOID by BMW and Dinan has every right to blame BMW since some of the components used do have some quality issues. |

I suggest that as many of us as possible that are considering the flash or who already have it ask our SAs the following explicit question: If the HPFP breaks, who will pay for it? Most may avoid the issue by stating that it doesn't matter to the customer, someone will cover it. That is not good enough. We need to hear that BMW will not mess around and blame Dinan for a problem that has been clear from the start. A Miner's Canary. Post your responses back here on this thread.

sense its a company car, get a SSTT which can be installed and removed within a minute and give u some great power gains. you can sell it once the company gets rid of the car aswell. the sstt works within the cars limits and all of its safety features and cannot be traced.
the speed limiter delete, good power, and other minor tunning make it a great product but the confusing warranty/ flash once and non-removable features make it a hard choice to throw $2000+ on. |

If I have any warranty work required, I will be sure to post it here. However, my dealer is a Dinan authorized center, so I don't think it will be an issue. However, because the flash is physically non-invasive I believe it may be treated differently than your average bolt-on part. I am not concerned at this point.
