Custom Exhaust in Ga
If I recall correctly there was a member on the forum from Ga building custom exhaust. Can someone point me in the right direction?

We did those at my shop. Unfortunately, my buddy that uses my tig (I'm a hack) is too busy right now to make any more, and I don't have time to do the dp swap. I'm actually in St. Louis hunting for a house right now. I can check with him and see if he's interested in a side project, but between his 1.5JZ Supra build and his brother's RB26 300Z build... And regular work, he doesn't have much time.

I know a guy in Albany that used to modify Circuit Werks 335i N54 exhausts and shipped it out. Not sure now with the "made to fit" sets coming from our New Jersey friend very soon. Jeather might still do it .....

Sukutash, you're welcome. I had subscribed to those threads due to my proximity to ATL.
You have the dp and tune. Did you gut the SCR? I also have the dp and tune and have not done anything else. My fear is that I am going to hit a wall in a few K miles when the SCR finally clogs up. For that reason, I too am looking for a 'dp-back' exhaust. And for others on the board, excuse my naivety, but would a custom exhaust be worth the $1000 it will cost or could I just stay with the stock exhaust and gut the SCR? As I just dropped cash on the tune and delete and also have to deal with worn out shocks, I am looking for a more affordable solution.

I have not gutted the SCR, but I know the reality of it clogging up if I don't get the rest of the exhaust remedied. And for others on the board, excuse my naivety, but would a custom exhaust be worth the $1000 it will cost or could I just stay with the stock exhaust and gut the SCR? I've been quoted $700-$1100 from local shops. I go to these local shop with a tremendous stigma in place. The workmanship, if thats what its called nowadays, is mostly absent from these shops and they want to push on you what they have in stock. In addition, no one wants to do a "race pipe". I wouldn't mind paying $1000 for an exhaust but the workmanship and quality needs to be there. The wait for the members in the forum that have production delays on their exhaust is getting old. If I were in your shoes, with the additional suspension expenditure, I would just gut the SCR. |

You can go either way, I paid $1000 for a full turbo-bumper kit. Gutted SCR will work just fine.

Has it been proven with data that the SCR actually does clog up over time with a dpf delete and no more def spraying?
I do believe if def is still spraying it would over time clog due to the larger particulate. But without spray would it really? |
