E93 dashboard into E92 possible?
Hey all,
I'm currently sourcing parts for an NBT retrofit into my E92. I've found a dashboard that's a good deal, $200 and includes the bracket for the navi radio. In the pictures, under the steering wheel, it looks as if there's a panel missing. On my E92 dashboard, it's all one piece that's unable to be separated. I'm wondering if someone with an E93 can tell me if this piece is able to be removed and put back? The main question I have, though, is will an E93 dashboard swap into an E92? I've tried searching google and various E9x forums but I can't find any solid information on whether it will or not. I would like to think that it would, as it's very similar to the coupe...but hopefully someone will have a solid answer. I've attached pics of the differences circled in red...please excuse the primitiveness of my editing, haha. View post on imgur.com Thanks so much! Nate |

Thank you for your help!
Offhand, do you know why the panel is so expensive, and what the panel is for? Versus the fixed one-piece E90/E92 dash? EDIT: Just figured out digging around RealOEM that it's called the knee panel and that (apparently?) the knee airbag is attached to it. I can't find it for sale anywhere...any tips?
