Leaky Swirl flaps

So I had a coolant leak that needed attending to and decided I'd take a look at the swirl flap seals whilst I was taking the inlet manifold off.

Picture says it all, looks like the seals have been leaking for a while... right old mess!

I was going to blank them off but the parts didn't get here in time, so I just used tiger seal to re-seal them.

Perhaps it's placebo, but the old girl definitely feels like she's boosting better. Worth doing if you're thinking about it and not a tricky DIY job either.

The flaps themselves were fine too and the newer design.
