![]() Up for sale are (2) Factory Upgraded Wire-Bonded LNA Beltronics STi Magnum units. These units were 2006 & 2007 Beltronics STi Driver units which went in for a upgrade to the Beltronics STi Magnum in Feb,2016. There is alot of information below about the technical superiority of these Wire-Bonded K/Ka LNA units, so please read it thoroughly so you get an understanding of why these units are sought after. The M3 Antenna based units from Escort/Beltronics have been around since end of 2005, 2006 but continue to outshine many of their current models in terms of raw sensitivity & range. Many enthusiasts including myself will not trust any other antenna than a M3 Based radar detector. All of the following models share the same M3 based radar antenna: Escort 9500ci, Escort Redline, Beltronics STi Driver, Beltronics STi Magnum, Beltronics STi-R, Beltronics STi-R Plus. Features: This unit is completely undetectable to Radar Detector-Detectors like the Spectre II,III,IV, and IV+. So you can drive with it in Virginia, Washington D.C. & Certain provinces in Canada without getting detected by Spectre. Incredible range on Ka & K band radar. These are the frequencies used by many State & Local PD to sniff out speeders. The M3 has 2 separate antennae, 1 for K/Ka band sweeping 23.9Ghz - 36Ghz (Approx.) & the other X-band antenna sweeping from 10.4-10.6Ghz. Software: Since these units were upgraded to Beltronics STi Magnum in Feb,2016 they have the Band Segmentation & RDR Toggle features. I have pre-segmented these units to Ka 2,5,6,8 ON and RDR OFF. By turning OFF the RDR Filtering (Radar detector rejection) you gain an incredible amount of performance from the M3 by removing the filtering that takes place on Ka band. Test after test has proven that a segmented & RDR Toggled M3 will outperform even new models. The original Beltronics models had this feature but the performance gains were not realized until 2013 when Escort added it to the Redline (M3). Visit this page to see the Ka band frequencies used by Radar gun manufacturers: http://www.vortexradar.com/2015/12/b...custom-sweeps/ Youtube Video explaining STi Magnum Settings & Programming: Hardware: The early Beltronics STi Driver units from 2006 - May, 2009 vintage had slightly more expensive hardware internally for the antenna. I am speaking of the LNA used for K & Ka band radar. All of the newer Magnum units have slightly more "cost effective" hardware. So most enthusiasts who seek out the extra edge on their counter measure equipment will look for those old vintage '06-'08 Beltronics STi Driver units and pay the $130 upgrade fee to turn it into a Beltronics STi Magnum. This allows them to retain the Wire-Bonded K & Ka LNA and get the software gains from the conversion to the Magnum model. There is a whole video explaining the benefits of the Wire-Bonded vs. Packaged LNA M3 units in the video below. Youtube Video showing M3 LNA Types: What was done to these 2 units? These 2 units were '06 & '07 vintage Beltronics STi Driver units that went back to Beltronics for a upgrade to the Magnum model. They basically take the internal guts from the STi Driver and put it in brand new magnesium (metal) case for the Magnum. All of the external pieces are brand new including plastic and buttons. Internally Beltronics Calibrated the antenna for all radar bands, replaced any broken buttons, and replaced the speaker. They verified that this unit is operational in detecting all radar bands and is calibrated like a new Magnum off the shelf. What do you get with the sale? For $350 Shipped (US, Alaska Puerto Rico), you will get a Factory upgraded Beltronics STi Magnum Cosmetically Brand new on the outside and calibrated across all radar bands (X,K,Ka). It has the newest software and is pre-programmed for maximum sensitivity on Ka Band. It also comes with a brand new Factory Paperwork (attesting to the work completed), Beltronics Travel Case, Coiled Cord, 4 Suction Cups and Metal windshield mount. Basically it's everything you need to install and use the item. There are multiple pictures below of the item but I can answer any questions that are presented. These units are highly sought after with the Wire-Bonded LNA, so the price is firm at $350 Shipped each until they are gone. |

Cliff notes: these detectors blow away most of the windshield mounts out there.
