Aftermarket audio and installation

Hi folks,

Did some searching but did not find quite what I want....

Apologize in advance if old news..

I have a 2008 e90 328i no Logic 7, basic stereo with 6FL. Would like to upgrade the audio system, better speakers, amp, etc. I am happy to use the installed tuner, but want a better sound for sure.......

Three questions:

1. Is there a thread/list of compatible mfg that 'plug in' fairly easily, I don't want to get into heavy mods. I can then search to see what products I want.

2. Any recommendations on installers in WPB, FL area?

3. Will these upgrades void my warranty?

I can't do the work myself anymore, but don't want someone chewing up the inside of my baby either.......

I am happy to pay for quality merchandise/installation.

Thanks in advance....

Best of luck to all with their vehicles.......

Here is a recommendation that I got via email from JL Audio. I hope it helps you. At the bottom of the email is Steve's contact info he was very helpful answering my questions.

If want to have a great sounding system, then you will need to pull the factory speakers out of the car and go all after market. When doing this and keeping the factory Nav unit, then you will need to use two CleanSweep pieces.

The first piece is our CL-Ssi. Since you need to grab the audio signal after the factory amplifier and there are multiple channels that are frequency depended. These different frequency channels need to be summed into a proper full-range channel. To do this properly, the use of the CL-Ssi is needed.

The second piece is our CL441-DSP . This is the main audio unit that allows the factory Nav unit to sound just like an after-market radio unit.

After the CL441-dsp , you want to use a four channel amplifier to power the after-market mids/highs. I recommend the use of the 300/4. This amplifier is going to offer 75watts of power to all four speaker locations.

A great speaker package to go with is our XR line. These speakers will take the full advantage from the 75watts of power. You want to go with the XR650-Csi up front

And the XR650-Cxi in the rear.

These speakers and the amount of power will be a perfect match up with the HO110R-W7 being powered by the 500/1.

If want to go basic, then just add in the HO110R-W7 and amplifier. Use the factory woofer signal and there is no other audio product pieces needed.

If there is anything else that I can assist you on, please contact me directly.
