Price? you shouldn't get the oem 19", aftermarket rims is far more better look than the OEM eg. iforged, agio, dpe, hre & ....also the high end audio is useless, they are not really that high end.

great choices mate, you'll enjoy it heaps!
i have a few of the niceties in my car, and they are well worth it... and as for the stereo, the high end one is FARRRR better then the normal one, lol, have you heard the standard one?

Thanks for the comments guys.
Auto Classic came through with a deal for sure. Unlike my experience with the E87, I can only sing praises. Yeah I have Logic 7 in a car now, all the demo 335's I have driven had std, and I heard high-end in an M6. I am in no way interested in fitting an aftermarket stereo to this car, as they just look shit and you loose all of the integration. Individual High End is the best factory option, and will suit me fine. Wheel wise, the M alloys will do for now. I will change them later when I run out of other things to do. In Australia this is a hi-end car, and is approx A$135,000 as ordered. Seeing as the US to AUS exchange rate is pretty good these days, we have our government to thank for the rest of the price hike! Delivery will be early 2008 - probably end January.

Well, have to wait a couple of weeks to get the 08 spec anyway (september builds onwards) and then there's the whole christmas thing in the way. I think also that the production schedule is pretty tight.

Plans include:
Full exhaust Suspension Brakes all round - looking at Alcon 6's front and 4's rear at the moment. Probably a more bling set of rims ECU of some description - most likely end up buying giac and doing it myself. Intercooler upgrade Gruppe-m intake And then go from there. Might also look into turbo upgrades too when the novelty wears off.

Great combo. I got my 335coupe in march, ordered october 2006.
I have logic 7 (Harmon Kardon)and I think it is great and well integrated with sub woofers under each front seat. I am with you, NO after market systems. My specs: Montego blue/black interior with poplar grey. Sunroof, alarm, logic 7, auto, shift paddles, comfort screen, rear blind, dealer tint. The only problem that I had was with the factory 18" wheels and runflats. The ride was uncomfortably harsh for an everyday driver.I think that this mainly due to the runflats. The dealer changed them to 17" M wheels and runflats after 3 months and this fixed the problem with ride plus the "tramlining" on corrugations is gone. I would be going for non runflat on 18 and 19's. (Interesting that no M car has runflats including the new M3). |

Yeah my Mrs has 18" runflats on her E87 and has never once complained about the ride, only because she likes it I suppose, and compared to some other things we have ended up with over the years is not a problem.
Why no proceed? Well, I am a professional tuner/motorsport engineer with a lot of experience with high-end engine management, data logging and data acquisition systems. I know what the xede devicde is and have used them in instances where the stock system cannot be programmed effectively. Although it's one of the best interceptor devices on the market, there is no place for it on any of my cars. I think the way it is marketed is fine for those that want to plug and play (pray) but there is no substitute for individual tuning. If I modify my car, then I am not going to pretend that unplugging it when it goes in for a service will get me out of the shit should a failure happen under warranty.

Bingo, which is why I won't touch the current crop of options for EMS the fact that you cannot control the signal in both directions is enough for me.
Are you going to run something like a TSI/PowerMod in conjunction with the standard DME? Congrat's on the car you'll love it, they are a fun bit of kit. |

Yeah the company split into two entities a while back, PowerMod and another company the name of escapes me.
Only know of TSI and now PowerMod's being used successfully with BMW turbo cars in after market applications that are used in conjuction with the stock DME. (read turbo M cars not 335's) |

Yeah I will. I have not spoken to them for probably 6 months or so, and in no major rush as I know that stuff takes time.
yeah, the TSI is now sold as RDP here in Aus and sold by (funnily enough) Redcliffe Dyno and Performance in QLD. I actually started using them over the xede for a particular application a couple of years back, but bascially they are the same style of thing.
