Waterpump broke!!! need advice
I have a 2011 335i with JB4, bms chargepipe and flex fuel wires.
Pretty sure waterpump is done, loss of power, cooling fans really loud and runing nonstop, overheat dash light came on, I checked coolent level, there is no floating "dip stick" in mine, dont know if thats normal. I found a couple different websites that sell the waterpump and just wanted to make sure i get the right one. I am out of warranty and dont have CPO. I found a whole kit here https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...1517632426kit1 Just wanted to make sure that is going to fit my car. Thanks for any advice. car has 46k miles.....kinda pissed waterpump already took a dump |

If you are doing a kit, do the thermostat too. There are two different types. Plug your vin into realoem and match the part numbers before you order.

would recommend changing your thermostat with it as well, and do not drive the car until it has been changed. mine went at 48k kms & i had it changed last december, also on a 2011xi.

Also, the coolant reservoir doesn't have that dipstick you were looking for. if you look inside the reservoir, make sure the engine is cold of course, you will see an indicator that reads "MAX". You can barely see it if you have proper coolant level but you'll see it clearly if you are low because it won't be as submerged in fluid.
