what POWER mods to get???
not sure which way to go but i'll list my options and listen to all your opinions. ...need to make a decision fast while the sales are still on
option 1- upgrade to rr600's and vrsf or mmp silicone inlets (stock location) option 2- stay with stock turbos and get vrsf or mmp inlets as well as Mfactory LSD

If you're going to go through/pay for the labour of inlet install, might as well do turbos at the same time. Otherwise you will be paying quite a bit to go back there and change out the turbos down the road.
But then there's the whole thing about putting the power down, options options. |

I would go with turbos and Inlets first.. it is good advice to do turbos and inlets together to save on installation costs and/or headaches if you are doing the install yourself. Obviously I have a dog in this fight, but I am not letting that bias my perspective....
The question as I see it would be best answered by deciding which will you enjoy the most while you wait for the other? the upgraded inlets and turbos will add traction issues at full tilt, however.. if you keep torque a little lower at the bottom and mid-range this can be managed and the benefits of finally being able to rev the car out with power adds a new dimension to the overall performance characteristics you will be enjoying. Also a Diff is a much less intrusive installation down the road, and once it is in, you get to experience yet another level of power and torque increase as you can turn up the wick even more.. so you get two nice stages of performance increase for your money rather then one. for me this is a pro for turbos first. a caveat being if you want to drag race alot, then sure you would want the diff first.. in most other situations, I see the fun factor being in favor of turbo upgrade first to get that upper rpm powerband online! Currently I'm on stock turbos without inlets and pushing 450/510 on MHD e60 tune. The turbos have 110000kms or 69000 miles on them and still pull hard at 21.5 psi....just hate that after 6k the power just falls... Was hoping the inlets would hold a bit more up top

So far looks like a 50/50 split based on your opinions lol.....tough choice.
Let me add that with option 2, there wil also be funds to add in 275 40 17 drag radials for the rear. May tackle the inlet install myself to reduce cost

Just for Grins, I have a very close comparison of what your graph looks like probably and one of the RR600's I figure it may be a good piece of information for you to use so I will add it here..
Stock graph is FBO E60 @24psi, RR600 graph is 21psi |

How are you managing with traction currently? the reason I ask is I have a very similar looking FBO graph on my e92, and unless it is cold outside I don't have a ton of trouble with traction on stock rims and run flats except in 2nd gear down low and I just tuned it out with boost by gear so I am right on the edge of traction control intervening and a clean uninterrupted pull.
I think if you are managing traction ok now, these graphs don't appear to be much different down low where wheel spin is an issue mostly anyhow. actually the RR600's slightly slower spool may help a bit to get the car moving instead of getting slammed with the stock turbo vertical torque wall..lol Just trying to reinforce my previous comment, that while you save for a posi unit, there is an awful lot of fun to be had from 4k rpm up on the RR600's.. and at 21psi, you aren't even making them sweat.. when you get the posi unit and some tires, you can crank her up and have another level of fun and interest.. its the gift that keeps on giving..lol That is me talking as an enthusiast, not a vendor.. is a posi a good idea, absolutely, if there is that much cost difference between the two, then the posi will be quicker to get afterwards with less chance of other expenditures popping up to get in the way of your end game. As an enthusiast.. that is how I look at it.. also to prove that I walk what I talk, I have a set coming and have yet to even consider which LSD I will want to put in my car and before I do an LSD I need to upgrade the clutch first so the LSD it at least 2-3 months out after these purchases. so I will be one wheel peelin it too..lol Chris |

the stock location ones are meant to work with stock turbos ... When you upgrade your turbos the passenger side one work better and give you more power
