Maple trim rejuvenation
My maple wood trim has a few scratches. Looks like previous wore a watch or bracelet, as there are plenty of marks near iDrive controller.
Get away with hand polish? Should imagine it'll be tricky machine polishing? Ideas?

You can try hand polishing, but as you mentioned, a traditional polisher will not be a suitable choice unless you can remove the trim and secure it in a vice or something outside of the vehicle.
The most common way to machine polish trim inside a car is to use a drill attachment or dremel with small buffing pads. This will be much quicker, and usually more effective, than hand polishing unless the scratches are very minor. Zach McGovern Detailed Image Ask-A-Pro Blog Author www.AttentiontoDetailingPeoria.com |

makes sure to prime your pads, mask off your trim pieces and make sure to cover areas with towels or it can get messy.
