My 330 started production this morning!

I checked on the BMW OC but it says the current status is "On Order" so I called the 800 number to get a production date. Did the automated thing but it could not give me a date so I taked to a live person and she told me that production started today. Here's the time frame she gave me:
Should be done with production by the end of next week.
Takes about 1 week waiting to get on a boat.
Takes about 2 weeks on the water.
One more week at the final destination port.
One week for it to be inspected, get on a truck and then arive at the dealer.

So hopfully looking at the last week of April, maybe the week before that???

I feel your pain. I waited 8 months for my 330CI(E46). I ordered a 328CI in 01/00 not knowing they were changing to 330. Had to reorder a 330CI in 04/00. Took delivery in 08/00 of a 01 330CI. It was worth the wait for the extra power though...

You guys are lucky with your tracking

Ours will just say if its finished, and they dont update it very often ( most of the time your cars already arrived by the time they update it ).

Ive been having to use some of my tricks to find out the status of mine, and I believe it was finished today, or latest tomorrow.

If it went into production today your car will be complete by latest tuesday but probably on monday, but then they go for quality inspection and shipping protection fitting and then storage while waiting for shipment to your boat

330i. The sport package was a must have for me.
I've had an X5 for the past 4 years and maybe drove it twice a year in the snow. The winters around here are just not what they use to be. I'll either get a set of snow tires or maybe get a used suv/pickup for winter driving.

Congrats, Mr. BMW. I was curious what 800 number you called. I have a 330xi on order and also would like to see how close mine is to being built. Thanks.

Again, the automated thing may not be up to date so talk to a real person to get the most current info.

That would be sweet!

I think she was being very conservative. As long as I get it before the end of April I'll be happy.

Join Date: Oct 2005 <-- I join this board when I get my first test drive of 325i. Then I came back with my wife and we drive 325i and 330i with and with out sport package. Right on a spot we make decision - in 2006 during summer when kids at home - take a trip with hole family to Munich. When I call Beewang and ask for NAVY DVD reservation for July 2006 (remember it was October 2005) - Beewang strongly recommended to see a good doctor.
But this is not all. I already paid for my airplane tickets, but car is not order yet.
Now, that a dedication to BMW.
