FRM version

How can you determine which FRM version you have with Carly?

My whole car was recently updated at the dealer, newest available software for every module in the car. Not sure that has anything to do with the FRM version though.

2007 e91 you most likely have FRMFA aka FRM1. It's a hardware version, it won't change with a software update.

FRM 2 was introduced in 2008 model year. I believe FRM 3 was either 2010 or 2011.

FRM2 (NFRM) I believe came in after 03/2007. If your car has welcome lights you have FRM2 or 3. FRM1 doesn't have welcome lights.

I'm looking to change the braking force flashing frequency.

I have an 02/07 build date, but i have the lights package and CA, so I was thinking I had FRM2. It would be nice to know for sure.

I need to have someone in Seattle with a laptop and all the tools some tweak it if I can figure out what version I've got.

Do any lights like, angel eyes, parking lights, etc etc come on when you unlock the car? These are welcome lights. If so you have at least FRM2.

There is an easy way to be sure however. Just remove the trim where the obd2 port is, (hood release catch screw) and 1 other I think the. You can see the FRM module which will be labelled and have a part number....

For example on a RHD car (opposite for LHD)

I pulled the cover and it does not have a part number of the module that I can get to without removing the entire unit.

I know it's tight but can't you loosen it a little then get a camera phone behind to take a photo?
