335i: Knock on multiple cylinders? Log insight
Hello guys, what's wrong with these timing corrections?
Spaark plugs and coils new. Cleaned all injectors and replaced the cyl 2 injector. Is a 2nd gear pull, cobb aggressive stage 2 + fmic. Should I replace the other injectors? http://datazap.me/u/gigitomma89/log-...-9-10-11-12-21 |

injectors won't help. too much boost/too high iat/too much timing. could be any of those. you need to log iat and actual timing.

How many miles on the car and did you use a JB4 previously ? It could be Transmission related timing corrections base on what is only being provided in the logs.

Will do another log tomorrow. 60k Miles in the car.
From what you understand it could be transmission related? |

Maybe is my hardware (lpfp pump or others) than can't provide the amount of gas demanded? I tried going sport instead of aggressive and surely the gar gose smoother, but I lose 0,2-0,3 seconds in the 0-60 mph. Moreover with good tires ( bridgestone potenza almost new) which is a good time 0-60 for a convertible fbo (but without meth and inlets)? I know that is more predictive the 1/4 mile time but here we use to look at the 0-60. This was my best time runnin' aggressive map: without launch control, starting from first gear, half tank of gas, just me on board. Thanks everyone, your comments were highly appreciated Luigi |

For what it's worth, I had timing and boost dialed back slightly on my tune due to poor fuel. My last three logs show ZERO timing corrections and load still pushes past 180.

Hey guys, as promised I took two new logs with cyl timing and intake air temp. The temp seems to be near 130 F.
In both logs the correction are 0 during all the pulling. The problem was that today the 0-60 was about 4,9. Outside temp was about 93 F. The link are here: http://datazap.me/u/gigitomma89/log-...13-14-15-16-21 http://datazap.me/u/gigitomma89/log-...-22&zoom=1-195 These are two screenshots showing charge air temp and timing What do you think about? |

Perhaps others have more to offer, but it seems if you want to retain massive power I. That heat a new FMIC and/or meth may be they way to go. Given timing is not correcting, I think I'd be happy with what you're seeing unless the car feels wrong somehow..

The DME doesn't start pulling timing until 130*F. Which could be as soon as you hit 4th gear from a cooled down standstill at WOT... The next WOT run, it may start pulling in 3rd, etc etc... Any of the offered intercooler upgrades will prevent this. 5" is all you need for street use. If you are road racing/auto crossing, then a larger unit would be beneficial on those hot laps on hot days.

Like I said, just too much boost/timing for the conditions/iat. Looks normal for living in a warm climate. Meth might be the only way to help. The vrsf 7'' is more than enough for stock turbos, espcially only running 20psi or less.
Not sure why buraq thought it may be transmission related..

So no way to go down to 4.3-4.4 in 0-60 without meth and with stock turbos...
